“Keep the knowledge, Lose the Pain”
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Imagine not needing to talk through painful memories for months or years to feel better.
Imagine experiencing life-changing relief in only a handful of 60-minute sessions.
ART is for healing various types of trauma and other upsetting life experiences — without medication, memory loss, or hypnosis.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a therapy modality that uses eye movements to help process and resolve mental health problems.
It can effectively treat conditions like:
Generalized anxiety and depression
Trauma and PTSD (both ongoing/complex/relational trauma, and acute trauma from one specific event)
Phobias
Addiction
OCD
Grief
During our ART sessions, you'll follow my hand movements with your eyes while focusing on the issue you want to address. This process helps your brain make new connections
You may experience some fear or discomfort when thinking about your problem, but most clients quickly move past these difficult emotions (within a few minutes) to find calm and relief.
ART is entirely client-directed — you remain totally in control and fully aware throughout the session.
I will guide you through the process, asking you to notice physical sensations and helping you process both troubling images and bodily responses. Many clients find they can replace negative images with positive ones, effectively eliminating triggers when encountering previously difficult situations.
ART is known for its speed and effectiveness. Many clients find that trauma and PTSD can be resolved in a single session, though ongoing issues like substance abuse or OCD may require additional sessions.
The results from Accelerated Resolution Therapy appear to be long-lasting, with clients often reporting feeling like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders.
The eye movements naturally induce relaxation, making the process comfortable even if you’re highly anxious.
You don't need to worry about “doing it right” — your brain knows what to do and it will naturally engage with the process. Throughout the session, you may notice increased clarity in your thinking and problem-solving abilities, leading to lasting positive changes.
Don’t worry — you won’t lose any part of your memory.
You keep the knowledge of what happened, but you will lose much or even all of the emotional pain that is attached to it.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy can help you feel better faster
ART is an evidence-based method that provides relief from trauma symptoms in as few as just ONE 60-90 minute session!

Despite how it sounds, ART isn’t voodoo magic! It uses a combination of eye movements, guided imagery, voluntary image and memory replacement, and memory reconsolidation. All of this combined helps your brain “process” and “store” the traumatic memory in a different way. This relieves the stressful symptoms you’re currently experiencing.
-
You and I will meet virtually for a 90-minute session. I walk you through the ART protocol using a script — the script’s steps are very intentional and purposeful. You simply follow the directions I give you and we’ll let your brain do the work — it knows what to do!

Researchers aren’t 100% sure why or how the eye movements work so well, but they do. What we do know is that our brains naturally process emotions and events during REM sleep, when eye movements naturally occur. (Think about it: the last time you felt upset, you probably felt better after a good night’s sleep.)
Think of ART as a manual version of the automatic processing your brain naturally does when you’re sleeping. The difference, of course, is that you’re awake, fully conscious, and in full control during our ART sessions.
Is ART right for you?
ART is a good fit for you if you…
Have had a traumatic event (natural disaster, car accident, physical or sexual assault, infidelity or betrayal, etc)
Want quick relief from symptoms like:
Nightmares
Upsetting thoughts about the event that pop up even when you’re trying not to think about it
The feeling of fear, anxiety, or constantly scanning your environment for threats, looking over your shoulder, etc.
Have tried talk therapy, but although it was helpful to a degree, it hasn’t brought the relief you hoped for
What should I expect from an ART session?
You and I will meet for 90 minutes for your ART session to allow for adequate processing time.
Every ART therapist, including myself, has a script that is followed during the session. It may seem strange to have your therapist read off a script, but it is on purpose. The process is very intentional and deliberate so that you get the best results possible.
Before we start our session, I will give you directions and let you know what to expect.
Insurance and Payment Information
My fee is $375 for a 90-minute ART session.
I am not in network with any insurance company so I am unable to bill them directly.
I am happy to offer a Superbill (an itemized receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company, but not every insurance plan has out-of-network benefits. You need to ask your insurance company’s customer service about your specific policy.
